Preparation Party

With summer rapidly drawing to a close, now is a great time to gather your friends and family around and have a good old barbecue on the patio or deck.  Spending time with good friends and/or family is an opportunity to communicate information. If you are selling your house or thinking about selling your house, this is a great time to have a practice “open house”.  Showing off your home to those you are comfortable with will make the future showings to total strangers a little easier.

In preparing your home for a showing, you will want to make sure that your home appears open and roomy, sort of in the same fashion you would want it to appear if you were entertaining several guests.  With that in mind, start thinking about the extra pieces of furniture that you may have that can easily be stored in a storage unit or garage.  Over the next couple weeks, I’ll give you some pointers on other things that you can do in preparation for your showings and open house.  In the meantime, have a great time with your friends and family at that end of the summer get-together!
